Hessen Higher Education Institutions in the North-South Context - Greetings by the Hessen Minister for Higher Education, Research and the Arts
The wide variety of North-South-relationships at Hessen higher education institutions are a clear indication of the international nature of Hessen science and research policy.
As a truly international location for research and business located in the middle of Europe, Hessen has for years now helped make it possible for a large number of students from Africa, Asia, and Latin America to study and research at Hessen higher education institutions. Through these individual study and research visits, a network of contacts has been created that stands at the disposal of both the Hessen universities and their partner institutions in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Many alumni from countries in the South are now in leadership positions in politics, business and at higher education institutions in their home countries or are successful business owners and entrepreneurs. Together they create incredible potential for diverse contacts to and relationships with Hessen.
In order to make the complete offering of the Hessen higher education institutions in the North-South context more visible, the World University Service (WUS), with the support of the universities and regional partner organizations, has compiled a comprehensive overview of activities and offerings within the North-South context on this website. This allows you to see, for example, which Hessen universities offer development studies, who is responsible for managing North-South contacts with individual countries or universities, or who can help an international student successfully complete their studies at a regional higher education institution. The user-friendly navigation gives you direct contact to the right people, institutes, and university offices.
Please take advantage of this new website. It will make your search for development-related subjects and contacts much quicker, easier, and more pleasant. You can find new contacts for your academic work and benefit from new international connections for your department.
