STUBE Hessen is a study-accompanying Programme for students from Africa, Asia and Latin America who are studying in Hessen. It offers Seminars and Academies, promotes work experience schemes and study sojourns in Africa, Asia and Latin America and supports students in the organization of public events at their Universities.
STUBE Hessen addresses in particular those students who receive no scholarship and will, as a consequence, obtain in the course of their studies more or less by accident, and when, only few suggestions regarding development countries. The Programme should like to perform a contribution to the professional qualification and thus to the reintegration of the students in their home countries. Its aim is to accompany the students at an early time and for a long term, and create together with them a meaningful professional perspective for the time after their return to their home country and to support the students to make use of the knowledge acquired here in their country of origin.

The World University service (WUS) is a non-governmental organisation, which is politically and denominationally independent. It facilitates international contacts and co-operation of and between academics and students.
The activities and programmes run by WUS Germany aim to promote academic freedom and university autonomy and seek to defend the rights of members of the educational profession. As an organisation concerned with the core issues of education and human rights, WUS at the same time needs to pay similar attention to other current global issues, such as empowerment of women, environmental protection, sustainable development and equality in opportunities. With respect to all the aforementioned areas of concern, WUS Germany attempts to encourage a rational and balanced pluralistic dialogue between key players. In doing so, WUS pursues a multidisciplinary approach on the basis of the principles of “mutual benefit”.
In continuation of its past involvement, WUS-Germany currently concentrates its activities on the main aim to ameliorate access to education and to enhance awareness for the human right of education world-wide, namely by:
- Support and service for refugee students in need
- Support for educational projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America
- Support for development related education within Germany and beyond
